Stayed at Alonzo Ward when moving my son into college last August. The room was decorated very nicely, (individually with antiques, immaculate and very comfortable. The service was beyond personable. The manager (so sorry, can't remember her name) went out of her way to make my stay pleasant. I arrived middle of the night as my flight was cancelled from MSP to Aberdeen and the manager was very understanding. I've stayed in 5 star hotels that didn't match the service,comfort and appearance. I was hesitant when I made reservations as the rate was so low... turned out to be one of the nicest hotel stays I've ever experienced.
